Dallas County Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or pull official booking records. For those actions, contact the government office that holds the record or the person.
Official Dallas County Contacts
For a person who may be in county custody, start with the Dallas County Jail Lookup. It is the official current-custody source. The records process is separate from a live custody search, and a court result is separate again. The Dallas County records path explains which channel fits a booking record, photo request, or later case question.
Requests for sheriff records are governed by the Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552. Send a written request through DCSO GovQA, or direct it to Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, Attention: Legal, LB-31, Dallas, TX 75207-4313. The public-information eligibility line is (214) 653-3453. The public-information office lists hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Provide enough detail to identify the requested existing record, such as the person’s name, date of birth, approximate arrest date, agency, or booking number.
Use the official source that matches the person’s custody status. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice locator is for state custody, not a new county booking. The Bureau of Prisons locator serves federal custody. The ICE Online Detainee Locator has its own identity and current-custody rules. A missing result in one system does not establish a result in another system.
